google celebrates 40th anniversary

Today when you login Google.com you can see a colorful muppet displayed, nothing but Google celebrating 40th anniversary of Sesame street.

Sesame Street is an American educational children's television series and a pioneer of the contemporary educational television standard, combining both education and entertainment. Sesame Street is well known for its Muppets characters created by Jim Henson. It premiered on November 10, 1969, and is the longest running children's program on US television. The show is produced in the United States by the non-profit organization Sesame Workshop, formerly known as the Children's Television Workshop (CTW), founded by Joan Ganz Cooney and Ralph Rogers. Opera releases Opera Mobile 10 beta for Symbian S60 handsets

Opera, the creator of the most popular web browser for cell phones - Opera Mini, released Opera Mobile 10 beta for Symbian S60 earlier today. The new version has been optimized for all S60 devices, irrelevant of whether or not they sport touch-sensitive screens and brings forth several novelties. Opera Mobile 10 beta for S60, similarly to the Opera Mini 5 beta, comes with jazzy interface, new features like improved zooming and faster web page loading.

You can now place Speed Dial tab directly onto the home screen. It´s pretty much the same as the one found in the computer version of the program and consists of 9 tabs that host shortcuts (with pictures) to your favourite web sites. The Opera Turbo technology should provide faster loading of pages, because what you actually get on your cell phone is a compressed copy of the page you want to open, sent to you by Opera web servers featuring the technology.
